Penumbra, Smithtown High School West’s literary magazine, has earned a Gold Medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) for its 2023 publication!
Part of a judge’s critique of the magazine stated, “The staff is clearly passionate about their work, and it comes through on each and every page from the cover to the last page. The artwork was meticulously chosen for each and every individual piece and matched well with the poetry on the facing pages.”
